Helen Judy
I have been going to Healthy bones classes now for a few years and even though I attend only once or twice a week I have noticed definite results. There is improvement in my strength and balance and my energy levels have increased. Heidi is an encouraging instructor and even though we are in a class environment she manages to give us exercises that are suited to our individual needs. There is also variation from week to week to keep boredom at bay.
A great benefit from exercising in a class situation is that you develop a friendship with the other members and you are able to receive and give encouragement to one another. There are definite social benefits as well as physical ones.
I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their sense of well being, strengthen their bones and lead a healthier life. Judy Scholes - September 2009
Heidi has been my trainer in a small group situation
for a number of years, and at two different gym locations. I attend the
group's 1 hour session mostly once a week. At 74 yrs I find this is
sufficient to tone, and keep me fit, alert, and enervated. The only other
exercise I do is walking 2 to 4 km most other days in the week.
Heidi's
exercises, geared for the over-50s, are always varied (never boring), and work
on strengthening, flexibility, and stretching all major muscle groups. For
those with special needs or weaknesses, Heidi devises alternative activities
within the group situation. We have all seen improvement in ourselves, and
the others who participate. Personally our trainer is always cheery, encouraging
and understanding.
I recommend Heidi Strohschon as a well-qualified and
experienced trainer, who takes a personal interest in each member of the group.
